The Geis Family was my first family shoot and I was so incredibly, extremely nervous. I'm talking nasauous nervous. My stomach was doing flips the hour before their shoot and it took all of my being not to cancel. Boy, am I glad I didn't. They are so laid back and such a sweet family. It was an honor to capture these moments for them. They love to read together, so the book theme was the natural choice. And Jack just celebrated his first birthday, so we had to get the famous cake shots. Thank you Geis family for calming my fears. You guys are wonderful!!

Wendy and I met in high school. We played volleyball together and I quickly learned that this girl was an athlete, just my kind of chick. We both actually went to Chico, but only ran into each other a handful of times. It wasn't until we both had our little girls that we started getting together to chat about motherhood and what not. It's funny how kids bring people together. Wendy's daughter, Kenzi, is just the sweetest little doll. She is very active and smiley. She's going to be an athlete just like her mommy, that's for sure. I adored taking these pictures for this sweet family and I'm excited to watch Kenzi grow!
And here we go. The very first post in what I hope to be a very long blog adventure. I'm excited to have a space to keep my work and also a place where my lovely clients can have a sneak peak at their beautiful family heirlooms. And because no post is complete without a picture..... Here's my handsome little monster.
